Special Program and Meeting

February or March 2026

During the first quarter of the calendar year, the Executive Board holds a meeting which provides a special educational experience for the membership. Board and committee reports are given, and the slate of new officers is presented to be voted on at the May Annual Meeting.

Annual Meeting

May 2026

Annual Meeting is for the purpose of the election and installation of officers, the presentation of awards, and other business pertinent to the operation of the Council. It is usually held in a special venue to allow for more members to attend than can fit into the Betty Little House. In the past we have had special speakers and a flower show.

The Fall Plant and Attic Sale

October 2026

Plant and attic sales are for the purpose of raising funds to carry out the business of the Council and fund Council events. Holiday decorations are sold at this sale as well as other household goods and plants from member gardens.

Special or additional meetings of the membership and/or the Board of Directors may be called at the President’s discretion.

Special events such as the Amaryllis Sale or Garden Tours may be planned during the year.

Spring Plant and Attic Sale

April 2026

Plant and attic sales are for the purpose of raising funds to carry out the business of the Council and fund Council events. A special emphasis is on plants for spring planting.

The Board of Directors Meeting

September 2026

This meeting is for the purpose of presenting the budgets for both the Council and the Betty Little House, amendments to the bylaws, the calendar of events for the year, the updated membership roster, and entertaining new business.

Holiday Party

December 2026

The Holiday Party is an opportunity to bring the Council members together to share the festivities of the holiday season. The Betty Little House is decorated by members of the Council.
